Doug is a Senior Director at Riveron Consulting and responsible for client service. His sixteen years of experience include corporate governance and internal audit industry positions, plus leadership roles providing public accounting and consulting services to both public and private companies. He has served a variety of industries including financial services, retail and consumer products, energy, and manufacturing and distribution.
Today, he is responsible for serving clients, recruiting and developing Riveron consultants, and leading teams in the field. Doug creates loyalty among clients by combining a practical approach to understanding business and risk issues with an ability to effectively communicate associated challenges and solutions. His focus areas include acquisitions, divestitures, pro forma modeling, portfolio review and assessment, internal audit, audit assistance, risk evaluation and due diligence.
Prior to joining Riveron, Doug served Fidelity Investments in various risk management and operational audit roles over the course of eleven years and Ernst & Young in its assurance and advisory practice for over five years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baylor University in 1989 and a master of business administration degree from Texas Christian University in 2000. Doug is a Certified Public Accountant and holds NASD Series 7 and 24 licenses. Doug is a native of Olney, Texas.
